THE GRANDEST HYBRID FASHION WEEK IN CALIFORNIA

The Fall of California began with the Award-Winning Fashion Community Week; one of the largest Fashion events in the West Coast! As one of the leading platforms for international and local emerging fashion designers and brands, the organization celebrated their 13th edition with a 4-day hybrid event (September 24th through 27th).

It was the first of its kind to have a blend of both online and on-site events. The fashion week commenced with a virtual fashion show, followed by an on-site shopping soiree, then continued with an onsite runway show and concluded with a virtual industry conference.

This first day kicked off on Friday, (September 24th) with a One of a kind Virtual Fashion Show, featuring astounding collections of the season LIVE on the runway by local and international fashion designers. All viewers had an opportunity to shop ‘Hot off the runway’ collections directly from the virtual fashion show.

The second day (September 25th) conferred an on-site Fashion soiree that consisted of industry networking and a pop up shopping exhibition featuring from six apparel & accessories brands. The evening continued with a cocktail gathering at the Modernist which is a private members only club.

The third day (September 26th) was the most popular day of the hybrid fashion week, that took place at the rooftop of Hotel Zelos. The event began with a cocktail hour followed by a “California Dreaming” fashion show featuring extravagant collections by local and global designers. The evening concluded with a celebration gathering & live music. The Presenting designers were Jus De Pommes, Siren, Ayla, A by Anubha, Olori, Sandbreros, Philine & Fantabela.

The final day (September 27th) of the fall event was the New era of Digital Fashion conference, a discussion focusing on digital fashion, innovation and future of the industry. The global conversation was led by the executives of Dress X, Holition, Kavyar, Di Fashion Branding and Instituto Marangoni.

Each year, Fashion Community Week has the opportunity to represent fashion brands and talents from around the globe. The organization has represented businesses from over 60 countries since 2014. Many of the talents are coming from underrepresented backgrounds to launch their dreams at Fashion Community Week.

The organization firmly believes in standing for ‘fashion has no borders’ and ‘beauty has no gender, size or race barriers! Additionally, the organization provides opportunities for the local and global fashion community in helping community bonding, interaction, network and create a nexus in the fashion industry.

Last year, the organization launched its online fashion incubator program to help emergent fashion designers and brands. The program offers workshops and consultations to help with business development and launch. An e-boutique platform is created to help sell the collections of designers. An interview series is formed with live conversations with founders of Fashion brands, who share their expert advice with emergent industry talents. Finally, a virtual Fashion Week is launched every season to offer exposure and business advancement for the emerging fashion businesses.

We invite you to follow Fashion Community Week's website to learn about their online incubator programs and upcoming events. The organization is looking forward to celebrating their 14th edition in the Spring of 2022 and continues to position San Francisco as the leading location for global emerging fashion brands.
