Love Itoya, is a 25 year old Greek Nigerian artist, singer and songwriter.
Tell me about yourself. Are you from a musical or artistic family?
I'm born in Thessaloniki. I'm a singer, songwriter, vocal producer, performer, dancer by profession.
The truth is that my family loves music, especially dancing. My parents used to tell me that I got my talent from both of my grandmother's cause both of them love to sing and dance. My brother is also a musician and my little sister plays the guitar and my mum taught me how to dance so yeah we are an artistic family
What first got you into music?
First dancing and then watching MTV base with my mum.
Watch my inspirations on TV like Beyonce, Christina Milian, Aaliyah, Alicia Keys, Destiny's Child, etc. performing, then I knew that's what I wanted to do.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
I always say I'm a multi-genre artist and I'll define my music as Pop with different genre elements like afro, rock, RnB.
Who else would you most like to collaborate with next?
Definitely Sza & Lauryn Hill.
Can you tell me the story of your new song? What was it like crafting it and writing it? Are you singing to yourself or are you singing it to someone else?
Reminiscing You - was a song written in 2019 it was a true life experience of mine. I needed to somehow get over that beautiful memory of reminiscing an old flirt of mine. So writing about it made me to get over it and just keep the good times from old memory.
What are your plans for the coming months/year?
Hopefully, concerts but first good health and then we make plans.
